FASHION lovers and shopaholics, take note!
Queensbay Mall in Penang will be hosting a grand Charity Fashion Show on April 25 with the theme Vogue for Virtue.
To start at 7.30pm, the fashion show — the climax for three of the mall’s events — is held in conjunction with Queensbay’s fashion month.
Celebrity personalities like Elaine Daly, Jojo Struys and Henry Golding along with DJs Serena C and Roshan will grace the catwalk at the mall.
“April is traditionally a fashion month for malls and fashion houses as it marks the changeover period from winter to spring.
“In line with the current economic slowdown, Queensbay is centrering the theme for our fashion month around charity and giving back to society,” the mall’s general manager Selina Ng said.
She said the Children’s Protection Society and Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Cahaya had been chosen as Queensbay’s fashion month beneficiaries.
“Donation boxes for both organisations will be placed at the mall’s information counters this month.
“Queensbay has also set aside a special donation for both organisations,” Ng said but declined to reveal the amount.
She said the mall was also organising a Model Search from April 4 to 26 with RM10 from the RM80 registration fee to be channelled to the two organisations.
She said the 20 finalists of the contest would get the chance to strut the catwalk alongside the celebrities on April 25.
For details about Model Search, call the mall at 04-6468888.
